It's beginning to be like the last one.

Well I had powerdance then...
I had summer classes now...

It's boring actually.

Well, the good thing is, since summer classes are over, I don't have wake up when I don't want to, rack my brains for math or, to force myself to listen to my theo prof's soporific voice.

Went to Tagaytay twice already. And I think we're going there again on the 2nd.
Went to SM Sta. Rosa too. It's as big as the Sm at San Lazaro. But they only had two floors. And, at the heart of the mall stood an indoor butterfly garden. Unfortunately, you have to pay 50 bucks to interact with the butterflies for 10 minutes.
Pffft. Business people. :))

Oh. And last sunday, we went to the Mall of Asia. They weren't kidding when they said it's BIG. 19 hectares. Whoa. Some parts of the mall were not air-conditioned though. But there's still this cool breeze here and there. It's probably because it's near the bay.
It took us hours to explore about 70% of the mall. The IMAX theatre is really cool. But the price isn't. Haha. :P But still, i'm gonna try and watch at least one movie there.

Dad said that we might go there again next week. So I could test my skates in their skating rink. It's been ages since I last glided on ice. If it wasn't for my knee operation, I might have continued the lessons and I might know now how to spin or something. Oh well. =/ Maybe figure skating is just not my thing.

I haven't finished the other Pearl necklace yet. I'm procrastinating with the champaigne colored ones. It's either i'm reading Harry Potter or I'm playing Diner Dash. Haha. :P

Speaking of Harry Potter, I just started with the last book. (Half-Blood Prince.)
[well. At least I was able to achieve one of my summer goals.]
I was able to finish the 5th book in 3 days. Haha. Yesterday was the 3rd. I slept at around 3am last night just to finally finish it. Wow. Talk about obsessed.
Kinda reminded me of Mr. Weasley's warning to his children that you shouldn't touch things that think for it's own and you shouldn't trust it if you can't see it's brain. He gave this example that there was this jinx-ed book that once you have started to read it, you can't put it down. You start to do everything one-handed and things like that.
In my opinion, HP is indeed a un-put-down-able book. I donno about jinx-ed but you just gotta read everything in one day so that you won't feel like you're on the edge of a cliff.

But then again, that's just me. ;)

I'm actually preparing for a quiz about HP at the-leaky-cauldron.org. I'm actually taking note of unsignificant terms or names that might be questioned. HAHA. =))
Sorry. But boredom really does wonders with how the mind works. :P

I'm going to USTe tomorrow to get my summer grades. Haha.

Take note. Calligraphy notebook ko to nung grade 5. Na-discover ko siya sa library ng aming bahay. At nung binuksan ko siya, laking gulat ko nang makita ko ang linalaman....

Walang vandal sa loob. Ni isang katiting na tinta ng ballpen, wala.

Sayang lang ang pera. Sayang lang yung hirap at pawis ng aking mga magulang para makabili ng mga gamit ko. Tsss.

Eto pa.. Sa 10 taon na nagaral ako sa iskwelahan na iyon, sampung "Daily Achievement Record Book" a.k.a. DARB ang binili ng mga magulang ko.

At eto ang buhay ng darb saakin...
Sa umpisa ng taon, araw-araw ko siyang dala kasi nire-require kami sumulat dito ng homework. Tapos, pag lumipas na ang ilang mga araw, at hindi na siya ginagamit palagi, itinatambak ko na siya sa locker. At makakalimutan ko na siya. At pag nakalipas na yung taon na yun, at nililinis ko na ang aking locker, eh makikita ko na lang yung darb ko dun. Bagong bago pa.

So anywaaaaaay. Gagamitin ko na yung mga lumang notebook ko ngayon na madami pang pages. Para di na ko gagastos for a new notebook.
Who knew that I'd miss using these big bulky notebooks that used to tire me because I would carry 5-7 notebooks everyday (pag walang locker) from the 1st floor to the 7th floor. OO. 7th floor. Nasa ibabaw ng bundok ang classroom namin.
Pag may locker na kami, hala, sige, nakatambak lahat sa locker.
Pero paano na pag may homework? Syempre kailangan i-uwi diba. Homework nga eh. :P

Again with the S** word.

This guy just suddenly called me up on my phone and asked me if I wanted to have S.O.P. with him. Just in case you don't know, the acronym stands for Sex On Phone.

Of course I immediately said "no" and pressed the "end" button on my phone. Then I txted him to never text or call my number again. And that desperate people like him should look for someone whose level is similar to his.

His reply was "kunwari ka pa! alam ko naman na nakikipagkan*** ka eh!"

Putcha. My thought bubble was,
"Desperate a-hole! Kaya wala kang girlfriend at walang pumapatol sayo eh!"

Being the warfreak that I am, I wanted to retaliate. To defend myself.
But then again, I realized that his vexatious sms was of course not true and that it was just a waste of time to stoop down to his level.
And besides. Janus took my phone and made me promise not to reply and wage war against that f-ing desperate loser. Haha. :P

I was at Divisoria for the past few days looking for a skirt that I really wanted to buy in Glorietta for 500 bucks.
But of course, my mom and I decided have a look at Divisoria first.

She fetched me from USTe last Monday and rode a jeep to get there.

When we got there, we went straight to 168. Unfortunately, there were only two stores that selled the skirt and the design wasn't that pretty. And mahal pa. Darnit.
But anyway, I ended up buying two capris and a shirt. Haha. ;)

The next day, I asked my mom if we can go ulit. Buti na lang, she needed to buy something from divi too. So she agreed that she would take me there again.
We went to Tutuban this time. I half-heartedly felt that I was gonna find the skirt. And if I would, it would be probably a bit more expensive.. knowing tutuban.. tsktsk. :P
So I un-enthusiastically walked through all the pasilios and weaved through the human traffic inside and outside Tutuban. Pero wala talaga. So I gave up and I told mom that I would just buy the 500 php skirt at G2.

But then my mom told me to just look at one more pasilio and she would wait for me at some store. So I did. And at the very end of that pasilio was a quaint little store which selled a lot of skirts and gorgeous versatile tube -slash- skirt dresses, and voila. I found my beloved skirt. In different colors and styles. And it was only 380.
So I ran back to my mom, who was at the other end of the pasilio and I dragged her to where the store was.

It took us at least thirty minutes inside that store to look for a skirt that my mom liked for me. :P I ended up buying two skirts. One being a versatile tube top -slash- skirt and a wrap-around skirt. Sadly, that other one was 480.
But after chatting with the salesladies and telling them that I was using my allowance to buy the skirts, they finally sold me both the skirts for 800 bucks.

Okay narin. Considering the price from Glorietta and where the skirt came from.. :P

I made the mirror ;). Uhm.. I mean the details of the mirror... The purple, lavender and white rhinestones around it and it's frame. Bad trip nga lang kasi hindi pantay pantay yung pagkakadikit nung mga stones... RAR. Haha. :P

Are you bored with how plain your mirror looks?
Eto. I'll give you an idea on how to jazz up your salamin. :)
(This mirror was inspired by Hot Topic's reeeeally cute mirror with the big fuschia, pink and white rhinestones around it. Ang ganda talaga. I wanted to buy it. Kaya lang my mom didn't want me too. Mahal daw kasi. So I just planned to make one na lang.)

Materials:



Your "boring" mirror (without the frame around it. You just need the glass),
Rhinestones (you can get some at the Gift Factory ;),
Illustration Board, and
Spray paints (actually, you don't really need the paint.. Pero if you're an OC like me, you can cover up the illustration board para it's all black.. Pero you can also use other colors too. i.e. Purple. ;)).
If you have noticed that there are three cans in the picture, well, ang galing mo. It means you know how to count. :P WEH. Haha. De. Anyway, I used black as the base, a white "pearl" paint para maging "metallic" ang itsura niya. And the clear one. Because it protects the paint and really gives this shiny effect.

Oh yes... You're gonna need glue too. :) Pero I suggest you use Mighty Bond kasi you need a really strong glue to stick the illustration board together. And para mas dumikit siya ng matagal.
And... A cutter. And a ruler. And if you're a kid, you're gonna need an adult to supervise you when using the cutter, holding the mirror (coz of it's sharp edges), and/or the Mighty bond.

Oookay.

1. Put the mirror on top of the illustration board. You can use a pen or a pencil to mark the mirror's position. From the mirror, measure how wide you want the mirror's border. And you also mark that.

2. Cut the desired length and width of the illustration board (the mirror's size + the border.) After that, cut another two pieces of illustration board with the same size as the first piece that you cut. So now you have three pieces of illustration board.

3. Now, place the mirror on top of those two new cut outs. Make sure, you put the mirror in center. Tapos, mark the mirror's position in both of those two boards. It's important that the marks all have to be symmetrical kasi you're gonna put them on top of each other. After marking it, cut out the center.. You just need the borders. And try putting the mirror inside of those two cut outs. Kailangan kasya. Okay? Okaaay. :P

4. Mighty bond the two borders and then mighty bond that whole thing into the first cut out na illustration, so now, it kinda looks like a picture frame right?

5. PAINT! (only if you want.) ;)
Make sure you evenly paint the whole thingy.
You can actually use watercolor, poster paints, acrylic, etc. Whichever rocks your boat.
I used spray paints para mas madali i-apply and mas mabilis matuyo. In short, it's convinient.
You can paint the back of the thingy too.

Important: Make sure the paint is completely dry before proceeding... :P

6. Mighty bond the mirror in the middle na. Make sure that the mirror is really attached to the first illustration board.

7. Time to put the rhinestones. ;)
You can put it in anyway you like, in whatever design or cheka! Beeee creative. ;)

Or you can actually don't put rhinestones anymore and just paint it na lang. Or you can use faux fur or feathers (available at tailor-ing shops) too. Whatever! :) It's your mirror after all.

Just be really careful with your mirror. Coz the rhinestones may fall off. So just in case, keep the unused rhinestones. Para you have spares if ever one or more goes missing.

You can actually make it a picture frame too. Instead of using glass as it's protective cover, just a sheet of acetate on top of your snapshot would do. :)

Budget: It's around 350 php and below. It actually depends on where you buy the materials. So I suggest, don't buy from the sosyal places. ;)
Here's a tip, what they sell there at the sosyal stores/places, you can usually find/buy some of these things at Divisoria or Quaipo. And it's way way cheaper there.

Take it from me. I once bought this really cute ponytail with lotsa rhinestones in it for 300 bucks somewhere in Makati. I really thought I had a good deal. Kasi sa Greenhills tiangge, around 500 siya. Tapos, I went to Quiapo the other day, and I saw that exact same ponytail there. And it was only... dandananan, 90 pesos. Rar diba. :P Sayang. :P

Oh.. It took me 2 hours pala to make the frame.. I had to readjust the rhinestones kasi di pantay eh. Tsk. :P

My mom passed by Lush kanina... Naku. Ngayon. Adeeek na siya dun sa amoy! Wahaha. :)) She bought two soaps pa. :))
It's funny. On the way home, my mom kept sniffing her arm.. Kasi yung saleslady sa lush, ni-rub yung massage bar sa arm ng mom ko. Kung hindi yung arm niya yung aamoyin niya, yung paperbag ng Lush. WAK. Adeeeeek! :))

Ang init! Nakakatamad gumising ng maaga. At yung pilitin mo magaral kung kailan dapat nakabakasyon ang isipan at katawan mo.
Oo. Mas masipag ako magaral kasi nakatutok lang yung attention ko sa 2 subjects na yun.. Kaya lang, dahil 2 subjects lang siya, sobrang nakakatamad... Tapos yung isa pa dun... Hate na hate ko... I ubermegahypersuperduper hate math. >:P Bleah. Mas gugustuhin ko pa mag zoology tapos aralin ko yung vertibrates or yung invertibrates at mag memorize ng mga phylums and species kaysa naman sa magsimplify ng pesteng fractions. As if algebraic expressions are gonna be useful in everyday life.. :P Unless you're gonna be a math professor or you're gonna be in a profession wherein you are actually required to solve math problems everyday. But that's a different story. ;)

Mommy and I went to Quiapo the other day to shop for beads for this project that i'm working on... My creativity bug hasn't bitten me yet. So I don't know what to do with the beads I bought. RAR. Pero I do need to produce samples na or else i'm gonna throw away an opportunity to be well known in the beading industry...

AY SHET. "Beading Industry!" Sosyal. =))

Anyway... We not only bought beads, but we also bought a tiara... I couldn't resist... Kasi a tiara is around 500++ at some posh store at Glorietta and it's only 200php in Quiapo. And it's exactly the same crown.

Actually, this tiara is for my niece. But I couldn't resist taking a few photos of me wearing it before I give it to the youngest princess in the family. ;)

My two achis (Meleen and Moreen), Moreen's pyootchor husband and I went to Glorietta kanina.

Actually. The original plan was that only Meleen and I would go.. Pero Moreen heard about the plan and wanted to go with us. So yeah. Meleen came, fetched me, then we fetched my other sis and her fiance.

So we went. We just ate breakfast and looked at every shoe store that looked like they had nice shoes. Meleen and I were supposed to buy our shoes for Moreen's wedding. But because I had no cash on me and wala naman talaga akong nagustuhang shoes, and since Meleen was worried about rallies in Makati that might cause traffic, we left Glorietta.

After that, we went to a florist at Kamagong. Then we went to Meleen's friend at Kapitolyo.

HMMN. Those two places reminds me of so much memories... Actually di lang yun dalawang lugar na yun.. Pati Glorietta... Bwahahaha. >:)

NR Na lang. Anyway, then we went to Eastwood na lang after we went to Pasig. Tapos after eating again, we went to People are People because I reeeaaally wanted to buy these really gorgeous "killer" stilletto shoes. And it's really not that expensive...
But anyway. I had a 2nd, 3rd and 4th opinion on how my feet looked like while wearing those shoes... So I ended up not buying them. But instead, Moreen, who actually had no plan to buy shoes, bought a pair. Galeng. Yun na yun e.

Haha. Yun lang. Lakwacha and shopping and food tripping mode ata sila. ;)

I'm tired. And I gotta go study pa. May quiz pa ko sa factoring bukas. >:R
